An attentive group of young attorneys was treated to a distilled lesson on courtroom demeanor and how to keep judges happy when eight DeKalb County jurists and one appellate judge shared their expectations and pet peeves at a reception Wednesday hosted by the Family Law Committee of the State Bar of Georgia’s Young Lawyers Division.

DeKalb County Superior Court Chief Judge Tangela Barrie opened the comment session at Decatur’s Cakes & Ale restaurant, emphasizing one key point: Know the rules of the court.
