Atlanta’s city government has been known for many things over the years. A hothouse for young legal talent was not necessarily atop the list.

It might be time to add that description. The city’s legal department is building a reputation as a place that handles huge cases in-house rather than farming them out to private firms. It’s also becoming known for allowing attorneys new to the department to play cleanup hitter, and not just utility infielder, in these big games.
