The Georgia Court of Appeals has upheld a $3.7 million verdict awarded to the husband of a woman killed after she was ejected from a Jeep Wrangler during a single-car crash.

The defendant, Key Safety Systems, manufactured the seatbelt worn by passenger Penney Bruner. The appellate panel rejected defense arguments that the trial judge shouldn’t have allowed a failure to warn claim to go before the jury and shouldn’t have admitted a particular expert witness and exhibit.
