Participants in a Daily Report web poll voted 52 percent to 48 percent in favor of keeping the name of Sen. Richard B. Russell on the Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in downtown Atlanta.
The poll, open to Daily Report subscribers from 3 p.m. Tuesday to 3 p.m. Wednesday, drew 426 votes—221 for keeping Russell’s name on the building and 206 for removing it.
