More firms are promoting lawyers to partner—and promoting more of them—than last year, based on the steady stream of partner promotion announcements the Daily Report has received this month.
In one notable instance, Hall Booth Smith made 11 lawyers partners this year, compared with only two last year. That is a bigger jump than for the other 23 firms announcing promotions so far, but this year’s increase at Hall Booth is more the norm than the exception.
