The Supreme Court of Georgia has thrown out the murder case of a man charged with stabbing a 75-year-old woman to death and has barred Fulton County prosecutors from retrying him.
In a unanimous opinion penned by Justice Robert Benham, the high court held that Fulton County Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville had mistakenly declared a mistrial after the jury had been seated and the murder trial of defendant Geary Otis was underway.
