A Lawrenceville man who called himself “The King of Diamonds” has been convicted of sex-trafficking charges after a three-week jury trial in federal court in Atlanta, the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia announced Tuesday.

Before he was convicted on Feb. 1, Travis Sentall Robinson attempted to build a sex trafficking empire based on exploiting young women, many of them minors, said U.S. Attorney John Horn. “Thanks to the courage of his victims and the diligence of the law enforcement officers whose efforts led to his arrest, Robinson is now officially out of business,” Horn said in announcing the jury verdict.
