Two more candidates have signed up to seek a spot on the Fulton County Superior Court. Former Fulton Juvenile Court Chief Judge Belinda Edwards and East Point solo Angelia “Angie” McMillan are both hoping to fill the seat being vacated by Judge Bensonetta Lane. The two newcomers bring to seven the number of candidates vying for three upcoming vacancies on the court.

Edwards, 62, oversaw the Juvenile Court from 2004 through 2012, when the Fulton Superior Court bench voted not to reappoint her. As chief judge, Edwards established the Juvenile Drug Court and Teen Court programs. Since leaving the court, Edwards has worked as a mediator with Hollowell Foster & Herring, a business litigation boutique.
