An open records lawsuit over fees and restrictions for viewing courtroom security video brings up new issues over access to electronic recordings made by the government, lawyers said Wednesday.

“They’ve kicked a hornet’s nest,” John Merchant III of the Merchant Law Firm in Marietta said of the Cobb County government, which he sued Tuesday. “There shouldn’t be anything to hide.”
