The three Georgia appellate jurists facing re-election in May—Justice David Nahmias of the Supreme Court and Judges Anne Barnes and Chris McFadden of the Court of Appeals—can breathe a sigh of relief now that no one has signed up to run against them in the May 24 election.

Candidates had until noon Friday to file papers with the Georgia secretary of state’s office to qualify for the election.
