A Fulton County jury awarded $782,001 to an Alpharetta telecom company, finding that its former president broke his contract by operating a competing company and siphoning employees and business to a second competing business while employed by the plaintiff company.

In addition to $282,001 in damages, the award included $300,000 in attorney fees and $200,000 in punitive damages. Evidence indicated that the former executive, Daniel Bommer, had arranged to have emails and an email server destroyed after the suit was filed in an effort to hide his activities.
