U.S. Deputy Attorney General Sally Quillian Yates will deliver the keynote address at the University of Georgia School of Law’s commencement ceremony on May 21 in Athens.

Yates, a 1986 magna cum laude graduate of Georgia Law, was the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Georgia from 2010 to 2015. After starting her career at King & Spalding, Yates became a federal prosecutor for the Northern District in 1989, and she was the first woman to become U.S. attorney for the Northern District.
