When David Atkinson and Stephen Dermer decided to dissolve their six-lawyer insurance defense boutique, Magill Atkinson Dermer, it sparked some musical chairs in the local insurance defense community.
Atkinson wanted a larger firm, so he joined Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers, taking along three associates, Ari Shapiro, Calvin Yaeger and Pilar Whitaker.
