Courtroom videos have captured more conversations between Judge Reuben Green of Cobb County Superior Court and prosecutors discussing criminal cases without the defendants or their counsel present.

The new recordings came to light as a result of a settlement of claims brought by a law firm that the Cobb Sheriff’s Office erected obstacles to public access to the videos. The Merchant Firm had said the rules were implemented soon after partner Ashleigh Merchant found a video showing Green engaging in improper ex parte conversations with prosecutors, leading the firm to ask Green to recuse from that case.
