A federal judge in Rome has awarded $36 million to a Chattanooga hospital authority after a management deal intended to ensure the survival of a nearby North Georgia hospital fell apart.
U.S. District Judge Harold Murphy issued the April 27 order in favor of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Hospital Authority in Tennessee, which does business as Erlanger Health System.
