A lawyer for a husband and wife awarded $40 million by a South Georgia jury for injuries the husband suffered in a car accident said litigation against an insurance company is necessary for his clients to collect.
Lead plaintiffs’ attorney Stephen Lowry of Harris Penn Lowry said the insurer for the drugged-up driver that hit the man’s vehicle—a police patrol car—had ignored a pretrial statutory request for the policy and coverage information.
