On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express condolences to the family, colleagues and many friends of longtime Atlanta attorney Ralph I. Knowles on his recent passing.
As a partner in the firm of Doffermyre Shields Canfield & Knowles LLC since 1991 and in the early years of his career, which began in 1969 in Alabama, Mr. Knowles earned a reputation as one of the South’s most accomplished civil litigators, successfully representing the plaintiffs in a number of landmark verdicts dealing with civil rights, prison and mental health reform and major product liability cases.
