A lot of attorneys work at firms for years trying to land that plum job at a corporate law department, but Jeff Rowe is already working in-house, even though he’s still in law school.

That’s because the rising 3L at Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law opted to spend his summer working in the Office of General Counsel at Grady Health System, rather than at a firm. For Rowe, the decision came down to flexibility.
