A Fulton County jury has cleared a MARTA driver of liability in the death of a motorcyclist who hit a paratransit van as it was turning onto Panola Road from a parking lot.

The plaintiffs’ attorney, Fried Rogers Goldberg partner Michael Goldberg, said he knew the facts of the case were against him: The motorcyclist was one of two drivers speeding well over the speed limit, and evidence indicated that the cyclist had not used both his front and rear brakes in time to stop.
