The new leadership team for the State Bar of Georgia wrapped up the final minutes of the bar’s annual meeting on Saturday by fielding questions from members about the bar’s approach to the Judicial Qualifications Commission, which is set to be dismantled and re-created.
Incoming bar president Patrick O’Connor announced to the meeting that, in addition to lobbying lawmakers next year for changes to the legislation constituting the structure and conduct of the judicial watchdog organization, he would appoint a task force to “help formulate our position in regard to the enabling legislation.”
