Charles Pursley will be the first lawyer ever to have a MARTA rail car named after him.
The board of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority honored Pursley at its July meeting with a proclamation thanking him for his “wise counsel and invaluable guidance” to the transit agency since it first started building the rail system 42 years ago.
