While Atlanta’s largest firms reported strong overall results in 2015 and a busy start to 2016, two reports tracking law firm financials indicate softened demand nationally for legal services in the second quarter.
In a report released Monday, Citi Private Bank’s Law Firm Group found that demand (total billable hours) for the 180 large firms responding to its survey grew 1.8 percent for the first quarter—but, due to a second-quarter slowdown, was only up 0.3 percent for the first half of 2016.
