The ousted chief judge of Chatham County Recorder’s Court fought back Friday evening against the unprecedented order that stripped her of administrative authority with an emergency appeal to the Georgia Supreme Court.
The full bench of Chatham County Superior Court issued a writ of prohibition Thursday that suspended Judge Tammy Stokes from her administrative position at the Recorder’s Court, which adjudicates county misdemeanor and traffic cases.
