Divorce lawyers who appeal their clients’ cases will soon face a new set of judges in Georgia.

Starting in January, divorce appeals will no longer jump straight to the Georgia Supreme Court but will instead be heard first by the Georgia Court of Appeals. Parties who are unhappy with a decision from the intermediate appeals court will still have the option of asking the high court for review—which may or may not be granted.
