Ron Gaither, a litigator whose clients include the Atlanta Braves, has joined Baker & Hostetler‘s fast-growing Atlanta office as a partner from Schiff Hardin.

That follows an announcement by Schiff Hardin’s local managing partner, former Supreme Court Justice Leah Ward Sears, two weeks ago that she will join Atlanta-based Smith Gambrell & Russell in mid-October. Gaither said he thinks Baker & Hostetler offers opportunity to develop his practice representing sports teams, broadening it beyond his work for the Braves.
