I’ve written an open letter to Mr. John Sammon, Chairman of the Georgia Board of Bar Examiners, in response to your coverage and his recent outreach to those who were mistakenly told they failed the July 2015 and February 2016 Georgia Bar Exams. It is included below.
Mr. Sammon, thank you for your efforts in calling each of the 90 individuals who were incorrectly informed that we did not pass the July 2015 and February 2016 Bar Exams. This was an honorable action. As one of the 90 test-takers to sit for both exams, I can assure you there was a great sigh of relief in your call; to know that I had actually passed the Georgia Bar and that there had been an error in the scoring. However, the repercussions far outweigh the corrective measures the Georgia Board of Bar Examiners is taking.
