A med-mal case settled last week shortly after the judge threw out a $15 million verdict and ordered a new trial over comments made by a plaintiffs lawyer.
Lead plaintiffs’ attorney Lloyd Bell said his clients reached a confidential settlement in the wake of DeKalb County State Court Judge Stacey Hydrick’s order for a new trial. Lead defense attorney John Hall Jr. of Hall Booth Smith was not available to discuss the case.
