Among those President Barack Obama pardoned during his last days in office is a former U.S. Army officer who was imprisoned for having a relationship with another man while they served at different bases in Germany in 1988.
Atlanta personal injury attorney Robin Frazer Clark said she has been working pro bono for the past six years to clear her client’s name. A call from a U.S. Department of Justice attorney informed her that the president granted the application along with a batch of other pardons this week, and that Peter Heidgerd would be receiving an apology letter.
