Georgia’s top judges are honoring the career of Sonny Seiler, the colorful Savannah business litigator famous for winning a high profile murder case, appearing in movies and breeding Georgia bulldogs.

The Judicial Council of Georgia recently recognized Seiler with a resolution of commendation for practicing law in Savannah for nearly 60 years, serving his profession with distinction as president of the State Bar of Georgia and as a member of its Board of Governors and for advancing the administration of justice during his service on the Judicial Council, Seiler’s law firm, Bouhan Falligant, announced Monday.
