It’s been hard to look at a Facebook feed this week without seeing Sally Yates. She’s trended on Twitter. And she’s become instant Instagram royalty. One of her hashtags mentions not only her name but four telling digits: 2020.

The former acting U.S. attorney general made national newscasts and headlines in January when President Donald Trump fired her for refusing to enforce his ban on travelers from Muslim countries. She became an overnight social media sensation after her congressional testimony Monday on that decision plus the administration’s alleged involvement with the Russians plus other topics.
