The death of a suspended Atlanta lawyer while in custody facing a stalking charge is under investigation by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Ali F. Morad, 51, of Brookhaven died May 26 at DeKalb Medical Center after a “medical emergency” at the jail, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
Morad, who ran the Morad Law Group, was jailed since May 10 on a felony aggravated stalking charge. Records show Morad was suspended from practicing law in April for failing to “adequately” respond to a disciplinary investigation.
