Due to an error by staff reporter Andy Peters, an Aug. 26 story misreported that the Judicial Council of Georgia would ask the General Assembly for 11 new judgeships around the state. The council agreed last week to ask for 10 new judgeships and the split of the Alcovy Judicial Circuit, a move that would place two current Alcovy judges in Newton County and two current Alcovy judges in Walton County.
