Jan R. Jurden was invested Monday as the seventh president judge of the Delaware Superior Court, in a ceremony marked by humor, sentiment and kudos for the judge’s work in establishing the state’s Mental Health Court and guidance of its Veterans Treatment Court.

Gov. Jack Markell said Jurden “possesses the rare combination of the creativity to develop solutions to complicated problems and the ability to implement them.”
