Master in Chancery Kim Ayvazian is retiring after serving more than 11 years in her role as a fact-finder for the Delaware Court of Chancery.
Ayvazian, who was appointed to the post in November 2006, was not available Wednesday to comment on her upcoming retirement, but a Chancery Court spokeswoman confirmed she planned to step down in the coming months.
As master, Ayvazian adjudicated cases assigned to her by the court, sometimes making recommendations on how judges should proceed. She also played an administrative role in the areas of trusts, estates and guardianships, making sure that cases advanced smoothly.
