The American Civil Liberties Union's Delaware chapter's Kandler Memorial Awards Dinner is set to be held Oct. 17 at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington.
Since 1985, ACLU-DE's Kandler Memorial Awards Dinner has recognized those Delawareans who have committed their lives to the fight for civil rights and liberties, according to a press release.
The 2018 Kandler award honorees include Steve Elkins, founder and director of CAMP Rehoboth; Maria Matos, president/CEO of the Latin American Community Center; and Kevin O'Connell, assistant public defender at the Office of Defense Services.
