DLA Piper announced that it made changes to the leadership of several practice groups within its U.S. offices, including promoting Matthew Denn to managing partner of the firm's Wilmington office.

Denn focuses his practice on litigation, arbitration and investigations related to state attorneys general, state insurance regulators and other state agencies. Before joining DLA Piper in 2019, Denn served as Delaware attorney general. Prior to that, he was lieutenant governor and insurance commissioner of Delaware.

Earlier in his career, Denn worked in private practice handling commercial, corporate and bankruptcy law. He earned his Juris Doctor from Yale Law School.
