Former U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Kevin Gross of the District of Delaware is set to join Richards, Layton & Finger as a director.

Former U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Kevin Gross of the District of Delaware is set to join Richards, Layton & Finger as a director, effective April 1, the firm announced.
Gross will be a part of Richards Layton's bankruptcy and corporate restructuring practice.
Gross began serving as a judge in 2006. He presided over business restructuring and served as a mediator on Chapter 11 cases.
He will continue his mediation work with Richards Layton and act as an examiner in Chapter 11 matters as well as a bankruptcy litigator. His clients will include debtors and creditors' committees.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson.
