Former Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom attorney Ronald N. Brown III joined DLA Piper in Wilmington, the firm announced.
He joins as a partner and will handle matters related to litigation, arbitration and investigations, with a particular focus on corporate governance matters and federal securities laws. His clients include corporations, directors and officers. He also advises clients on issues related to Delaware-specific corporate law.
He has experience in cases involving hostile takeovers, proxy contests, mergers, tender offers, securities fraud suits, derivative suits and appraisal actions.
Brown teaches mergers and acquisitions as an adjunct faculty lecturer at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor.
