Ericka Johnson, a partner in Womble Bond Dickinson's Wilmington office, was appointed to the American Bankruptcy Institute's board of directors, according to an announcement from the ABI.

She is set to serve a three-year term. 

Johnson joined the ABI in 2008 and is co-chair of its emerging industries and technology committee. She is also part of the ABI Mid-Atlantic bankruptcy workshop advisory board.

At Womble Bond, Johnson litigates issues such as preference, fraudulent transfer, turnover and breach-of-contracts actions. She also handles bankruptcy and corporate restructuring matters. Her past experience includes a stint working for a bank holding company. 

Johnson is also currently co-chair of the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation.
