Evan Miller, a director at Bayard in Wilmington, who specializes in corporate bankruptcy, found himself busier than ever before last year when the pandemic spiked economic struggles.

With the country opening up and an end to COVID-19 in sight, Miller—who is vice chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s business law section—said another uptick of Chapter 11 filings is likely in the upcoming months.
