A report released Tuesday suggests 50 steps Delaware can take to increase diversity in its bar, marking the next step toward the Supreme Court's goal of having the state's pool of attorneys reflect the demographics of its total population.

Co-chaired by Chief Justice Collins J. Seitz Jr. and Justice Tamika Montgomery-Reeves, the report stresses while Delaware has a higher proportion of people of color than much of the rest of the United States, diversity in Delaware's bar is hindered at every educational level, starting with a lack of education about the court system and legal processes and proceeding all the way up to the nation's most stringent bar exam.
