"I never thought I'd lead a law firm one day when I started, but after seeing what we've been able to accomplish I wanted to do it," she said in an interview Wednesday. "The only way in our 25 years we have been able to maintain Fortune 50 clients, continue to get more work from existing clients and bring in new clients is because of our client responsiveness."

Leaders at Maron Marvel Bradley Anderson & Tardy named Catherine Pyune McEldowney managing shareholder, president and executive committee chair last week, making her one of the few Asian American women to lead a law firm in the U.S.
McEldowney, whose three-year appointment went into effect March 31, has set an agenda of building on the Wilmington-based firm's national platform as an innovative defender in mass torts and providing opportunities for attorneys from underrepresented demographics.
