A federal appeals court on Thursday denied class certification to a group of indirect buyers of heavy-duty truck transmissions, but revived individual claims related to an alleged antitrust conspiracy between transmission supplier Eaton Corp. and four Class 8 truck manufacturers.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit upheld a lower court’s ruling that nixed the proposed class, saying the plaintiffs had not shown common evidence to support their claims that agreements between Eaton and the truck makers caused them to pay more for the transmissions.
