Two expert witnesses for Sprint's case alleging patent infringement against Comcast have been tossed by the federal judge handling the case.

U.S. District Judge Richard G. Andrews of the District of Delaware ruled that the two experts—Arthur Brody and Debra Aron—didn't pass muster following a Daubert hearing, so named for the 1993 U.S. Supreme Court case Daubert v. Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals, which created a route for parties to challenge expert testimony before the start of trial.

The Daubert hearing was held last month.
