Ballard Spahr announced last week that Justin M. Miller, formerly chief litigation counsel at DuPont, has joined its Delaware office as of counsel, marking the second time in just over a year that the Philadelphia-based firm scooped up a lateral hire from one of its most prominent clients in this area.
Miller, who served as associate general counsel and chief litigation counsel at DuPont, will advise the firm's corporate clients in litigation, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, securities law and corporate governance. He joins Tom Sager, former general counsel at DuPont, who made the switch to Ballard Spahr as a partner in 2014.
Both moves highlight what Miller called a “long-standing, strong relationship” between Ballard Spahr and the chemical giant, one that he expects to continue well into the future.
