Kara Swasey, a director in Bayard P.A.'s family law group, participated in a round table discussion Oct. 9 at the Delaware Public Archives led by Delaware Family Court Chief Judge Michael Newell about the Family Court Enhancement Project.
The FCEP was a grant-based project that sought to study and improve outcomes for litigants in the Delaware Family Court facing disputes related to custody and domestic violence, according to Bayard.
Participants in the discussion included Delaware Gov. John Carney, Delaware Supreme Court Justice Collins J. Seitz Jr., Judges Arlene Minus Coppadge, Louann Vari, Jennifer B. Ranji and Janell Ostroski, commissioner Andrew Southmayd, and a number of community stakeholders and domestic violence advocates within and outside of the Family Court who have worked on the project.
