The Delaware Bankers Association hosted its 13th annual Delaware Trust Conference at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, with two Connolly Gallagher partners serving on panels.

The theme of the conference was “The Tricks and Treats of Delaware Trusts” and Charles Durante and Trisha W. Hall presented. Durante's panel was titled “When Breaking Up Is Not Hard to Do.” The discussion focused on trustee breakup and resignation. Hall was a panelist for the session titled “Promissory Notes, Loans, Guarantees, Pledges From Irrevocable Trusts.” That discussion focused on considerations fiduciaries should keep in mind when entering into loans, guarantees or pledges in irrevocable trusts.

Durante brings 35 years of professional leadership to the planning of strategies for the intergenerational passage of personal and business property. He advises fiduciaries on the administration of trusts and estates, counsels foundations and other nonprofit organizations, and advises clients in the related areas of Delaware statutory trusts, Delaware holding companies and Delaware limited liability companies.

Hall practices in the areas of estate and trust planning and administration. As a planner, she helps clients plan for the preservation—and ultimate distribution—of their assets. She advises clients on all aspects of estates and trusts, including wills, powers of attorney, probate and estate administration, and irrevocable trusts.
