Derek Abbott, of Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell, was presented with the Commitment Award at the Christopher W. White Distinguished Access to Justice Awards.
The honor is given by the Delaware State Bar Association to a member of the bar who has demonstrated a commitment to pro bono work throughout his or her career by dedicating time and energy to the support and provision of legal services, according to Morris Nichols.
Abbott is a partner at Morris Nichols, where he chairs the firm's pro bono committee.
