The board of CBS Corp. is expected to receive a report detailing former CEO Les Moonves' attempts to destroy evidence and mislead attorneys investigating allegations that he had sexually harassed and abused women for decades, according to The New York Times.

The report, prepared by attorneys from Debevoise & Plimpton and Covington & Burling, was set to be presented to the board ahead of the media giant's annual stockholder meeting Tuesday, The Times reported.

A spokeswoman for National Amusements did not comment Friday on whether the board had seen the report. A spokesman for the CBS board declined to comment on when the directors would see the report or when its findings might be shared with investors.

The revelation comes as CBS tries to move beyond a bruising legal battle with its controlling shareholder, Shari Redstone, and to recoup its image in the #MeToo era. However, the details of the report could provide ammunition for a potential shareholder lawsuit, if it shows that individual board members had failed to protect the company from the Moonves fallout.
