David W. deBruin, a trial lawyer and litigator, joined Gawthrop Greenwood's Wilmington office as partner. He practices in complex tort, commercial litigation, commercial bankruptcy, business law and intellectual property.

He has experience in bankruptcy law and protects creditors' interests in Chapter 11, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings. He represents financial institutions, landlords, equipment lessors, purchasers of assets, judgment creditors, Chapter 7 trustees and unsecured creditors' and equity committees. He is licensed to practice in Delaware, Pensylvania and New Jersey.

Prior to joining Gawthrop Greenwood, deBruin founded The deBruin Firm, where he handled complex litigation. He is a member of the Delaware Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the New Jersey Bar Association.
